Institutional Strengthening Programme for Agricultural and Pastoral Resilience in Mauritania (ISPAPRM)

The objective of the ISPAPRM is to support the improvement of the resilience of vulnerable populations to food and nutrition insecurity. While it seeks specifically at strengthening the governance in the area of equitable access and sustainable management of resources in the context of climate change.

ISPAPRM comprises 5 components:

Dans le cadre de l'Alliance Mondiale contre le Changement Climatique (AMCC) l'Union européenne a mis à disposition du Gouvernement du Niger une enveloppe financière de 11 millions EUR pour réaliser un projet visant à l'assister sur cette problématique.

Strengthening SMME access to credit

The objective of the contract is to support the beneficiary, the Kingdom of Lesotho, in improving access to creditand other trade-related capacities to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs); to build capacity withingovernment institutions to provide required support services to businesses and to business development serviceproviders and umbrella organisations; develop coordination mechanisms in accordance with the MSME policy;and to prepare and disseminate relevant and pertinent information to entrepreneurs and other sector players.

Market Study for Promoting Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Investments in Nigeria through Financial Institutions (Particularly Solar PV)

As part of the start-up activities of this program, IFC commissioned this study to assess the market conditions and demand of energy efficiency (EE) and small renewable energy (RE) financing in general and off-grid solar technology financing in particular, among Nigerian corporates and SMEs.

Given that about 80% of the population depends on agriculture as their main source of livelihood, the agricultural sector has the greatest potential to significantly impact the Government’s poverty reduction aspirations and to achieve increased economic diversification.

The proposed project aims at addressing some of the identified challenges.

German-Nigerian Promotion of Productive Agriculture Programme (PromAP) II

The objective of the project is the sustainable development of the economic potential of the perimeters developed for small-scale irrigation in the programme regions Agadez, Tahoua and Tillabéri. This implies the development of training modules on a variety of topics related to small-scale irrigation in close collaboration with the action area C.

L’opération d’assistance technique fait partie du programme d’appui à la microfinance en Tunisie « MICROMED» mis en oeuvre par l’association « Appui au Développement Autonome » (ADA). L’opération vise à :

  • former les professionnels du secteur de la microfinance en Tunisie (opérateurs, autorités publiques, etc.) sur des thématiques qui ont été identifiées au cours d’une mission d’analyse des besoins effectuée par ADA ;
