Strengthening SMME access to credit

The objective of the contract is to support the beneficiary, the Kingdom of Lesotho, in improving access to creditand other trade-related capacities to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs); to build capacity withingovernment institutions to provide required support services to businesses and to business development serviceproviders and umbrella organisations; develop coordination mechanisms in accordance with the MSME policy;and to prepare and disseminate relevant and pertinent information to entrepreneurs and other sector players.

Qualifications: 

Qualifications and skills

  • University graduate, minimum of Master’s Degree in Enterprise Development, Economics, MBA and/or Finance
  • A minimum  of 10 years of professional experience of which a minimum of 5 years in financial sector operations, especially in relation to SMME access to finance or private financing policy/reform related activities.

 

General professional experience

  • Experience in the management of SMME access to finance policies, programmes and related reforms and institutional support in the context of African or other developing countries.

 

Specific professional experience

  • He/She would have at least 5 years of proven hands on experience with managing and coordinating different teams
  • Knowledge of EDF contracting procedures related to public and public-private sector projects/programmes and project cycle management
