Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical (Substation)

GOPA Tech’s Abu Dhabi branch is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical to contribute to high-voltage substation projects across the region. The position will form part of multidisciplinary teams delivering complex power infrastructure assignments.
What you will do
- Support the supervision and coordination of electrical works for high-voltage substations.
- Review works for compliance with electrical specifications and relevant authority requirements.
- Support coordination relating to NOCs and permits.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable international standards and industry best practices.
- Support technical problem-solving and communication between project stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum nine years of experience in high-voltage substation projects involving 400 kV and/or 220 kV infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical specifications and authority requirements concerning NOCs and permits.
- Familiarity with relevant international standards and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
