Support to financial sector in East and Central Africa

AFC Consultants International (www.afci.de) ist als Teil der GOPA Gruppe auf die Bereiche Agriculture, Agribusiness, Financial Sector Development spezialisiert. In der GOPA Gruppe sind führende private deutsche Unternehmen im Bereich der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Die AFC implementiert derzeit weltweit ca. 60 Projekte mit einem Umsatz von über 14 Mio. € jährlich.

Für eine spannende Position in unserem Regionalbüro in Nairobi suchen wir einen Koordinator (w/m) für die folgenden Aufgaben: 

 

  • Project coordination and planning at project head office in Nairobi, Kenya (duration: 1 year, beginning at January 2016)

  • Liaise with partner banks and key-experts in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania & Rwanda

  • Assisting the Team Leader and AFC key staff in the project region

  • Monitoring and quality checks

  • Budget control

  • Supporting in-coming short-term experts

  • Writing of reports and presentations

  • Supporting in acquisition activities in East Africa, including fact finding missions and feasibility studies

Qualifications: 

  • University Degree (Master) in a relevant area (economics, business administration, international management, development studies, economic sociology or related fields)

  • Experience in the context of development cooperation, preferably in the financial sector

  • Working experience in developing countries, in particular in Africa

  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English and German, French would be an asset

  • Strong writing and communications skills, ability to act pragmatically
