Agriculture & Finance Consultants GmbH (AFC) is a private German consulting firm focusing on agriculture/agribusiness and financial sector development projects in developing and transition countries.

We employ almost 60 permanent staff members at our headquarters in Bonn/Germany and on average 880 external consultants throughout the year implementing projects for various donor organizations (e.g. ADB, AFD, EBRD, EIB, EU, GIZ, KfW, World Bank) in one of our 88 offices abroad. AFC is a member of GOPA Consulting Group, Germany's largest group of consulting firms in development cooperation.

Recruitment Specialist to start as soon as possible in xx

For the successful implementation of programmes and projects in development cooperation, we at AFC are looking for a full-time recruiter – 40 hours per week - to support us in French speaking countries.

Your tasks:

  • Implementation of international market research to identify suitable experts for our projects and programmes in Frenchspeaking African countries

  • Implementation of the complete recruitment process: analysis of required candidates profiles, active sourcing, management of applicants, assessment and evaluation of candidates CVs, improvement of the CV’s presentation

  • Selection of candidates together with the project manager in charge

  • Maintain and grow our internal expert database

Qualifications: 
  • A university degree (bachelor or masters) in human resources, social sciences or economics, or an equivalent of at least three years of experience with human resources;

  • 2-3 years of experience in a service-oriented environment; Recruiting experience in an international working environment - preferably with active sourcing are an asset;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and good skills in English. (German language skills are an asset.);

  • Experience in working with social media such as LinkedIn and other recruitment platforms;

  • Capacity for teamwork and dealing with different personalities;

  • Ability to keep track of tasks under high workload and meet deadlines;

  • Experience in the field of International Cooperation are an asset;

  • Excellent knowledge of standard MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
