Public Awareness Activities for the Financial Sector in Uganda

The Bank of Uganda (BoU) is carrying out a series of public awareness activities supporting three key areas for developing the Ugandan financial sector:

(i) Public awareness of the Credit Reference System (CRS);

(ii) Public awareness of the Deposit Protection Fund (DPF); and

(iii) Financial literacy linked to the 2016 World Savings Day (WSD).

The objectives of the upcoming project are to support the development and implementa-tion of above key public awareness activities as follows:

(i) Increasing awareness among customers and the general public about the credit reference system in Uganda;

(ii) In-creasing awareness among customers and the general pub-lic about deposit protection; and

(iii) Supporting to promoting the World Savings Day 2016 through the development and delivery of financial literacy activities.

 

 

Qualifications: 
  • University degree in Communication or other relevant field of studies 
  • Proven experience in mass communication measures and awareness-raising campaigns
  • Relevant regional and financial sector experience in East Africa, particularly in Uganda
