SEDIN Program – Nigeria Competitiveness Project

Nigeria’s economic performance is primarily driven by resource intensive activities, namely the oil and gas industries, with limited progress recorded in other sectors, especially agriculture and manufacturing. The competitiveness of Nigeria’s private sector and trade remains crucial for a stronger integration of the country into the regional and world market, and MSMEs play a central role in this process and in the creation of jobs.

The overall objective of the co-financed action is to strengthen the competitiveness of Nigeria and enhance the country’s integration into the regional and international trading system. The Project concerns the development of the Value Chains Leather and Garment, Tomato/Chili (Horticulture), and Ginger. Focus states are Kano, Kaduna, Plateau, Ogun, Oyo, Lagos and Abia.
