Green Innovation Centre for the Agriculture and Food Sector

The objective of the project is to enhance the identification and implementation of innovations along the maize and rice value chains in 4 regions of Ghana (Brong Ahafo, Ashanti, Volta and Eastern Region) for improved small-holder incomes, employment, regional food supply and food security.

Activity fields:

  • Field of activity 1: Support the identification and implementation of innovations in agricultural smallholdings
  • Field of activity 2: Support processing and marketing companies in their entrepreneurial capacity and their capacity to provide (embedded) services to smallholder farmers
  • Field of activity 3: Strengthening the organizational capacity of public training and extension service providers in agriculture and agribusiness
  • Field of activity 4: Promotion of cooperation among value chain stakeholders and knowledge management
