Professional Education for Economic Growth Sectors in Central Asia

PECA’s "Project “Professional Education for Economic Growth Sectors in Central Asia” overall objective can be summarized as follows: The capacities of professional education systems in Central Asia to provide qualified specialists and managers for economic growth sectors in the region are improved.

Qualifications: 
  • University degree (PhD or equivalent) in higher education management, social sciences or other relevant fields of study
  • English C1 and German B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
  • 10 years of international professional experience in developing HE (Higher Education) systems
  • 8 years in educational governance and management in the field of HE as well as in curriculum development for study programmes; documented profound knowledge of the structural and quality criteria of the “Bologna Process” and dual/cooperative approaches in higher education; 5 years of experience in developing distance education courses  
  • 8 years of technical, i.e. content-related management of HE projects
  • 3 years of work experience in projects in former Soviet Union countries, of which 1 year in projects in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and/or Uzbekistan
  • 6 years of experience working on DC projects
  • 3 years of experience in managing financing and/or subsidy agreements with contractors
Start / Duration: 

The duration of the assignment is envisaged to begin from August 2022 to April 2024
