Human Resource/Recruitment Manager (m/w/d)

AFC Agriculture & Finance Consultants has been an internationally active private consulting firm in the field of Technical and Financial Cooperation for over 45 years and currently implements more than 80 projects in 52 countries. Our clients are internationally renowned donors such as GIZ, KfW, EIB, EU, ADB and IFC.

We currently have around 60 staff in our home office in Bonn and more than 880 project staff (long-term experts, support staff and short-term experts) worldwide. AFC is a member of the GOPA Consulting Group - the largest German consulting group in the field of development cooperation.

We are looking for a Human Resource/Recruitment Manager (m/f/d) in our centrally located and very well connected Bonn office.

As Human Resource/Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for the search of experts in our development cooperation projects as well as for new appointments in our constantly growing head office.

The specific tasks include:

  • Together with the project manager, define the tasks of the position to be filled and the candidate's profile;
  • Search for potential experts (Staff Expert, other platforms, internet, etc.)
  • Write job advertisements and spread the information as creatively as possible on specialized websites, in the press, your networks or within the company for the search for experts in the projects/acquisition (project manager) and likewise for the search for in-house personnel (in coordination with department heads)
  • Receiving CVs and selecting those who match the required profile (evaluation of CVs, comparison with Terms of Reference) for the acquisition of projects and for the replacement of experts for ongoing projects;
  • Support in updating the GOPA Group database (uploading new CVs, creating new experts, important documents, tagging with key words and categories, etc.).
  • Conduct interviews (initial contacts: suitability, availability, fee);
  • Conduct evaluations on the effectiveness of recruitments;
  • Represent the company at job fairs to target future employees.

General task:

  • Supporting department heads and the management team with strategic proposals to optimize internal processes.

Qualifications:

  • Very good communication skills, especially with regard to initial contacts with potential candidates.
  • Good understanding of CVs and their analysis with regard to the required qualifications
  • Experience in recruiting
  • Business fluent in German and English, French is an advantage
  • Affinity with IT systems (Staff Expert, databases)
  • Business school with a Human Resources option; Master's degree in Human Resources Development; Master's degree in Human Resources or in Industrial, Organizational and Personnel Psychology or comparable qualification.
