The FI-Agri Project aims to increase and diversify agricultural production in the Atacora-Donga departments in northern Benin. In this context, the project implements agricultural advisory services for small-scale producers.
FI-Agri supports producers throughout the agricultural season in order to strengthen their capacities in good rice production practices. Setting up of Field Schools allows producers to initiate, through a participatory approach, new sustainable methods adapted to climate change and optimizing agricultural production. From May to November, the FI-Agri facilitators support the beneficiaries in the development of a campaign plan, soil preparation for good water management, improved seeds and rice transplanting practices, as well as in the maintenance of the plots, good harvesting and post-harvest practices.
