Team Leader Bioeconomy and value chains in Brazil

The protection of the rainforest can only succeed in the long term if its economic benefit for the local population is also increased. The latter is organized in cooperatives and associations, which still insufficiently market their products in priority value chains for the development of the sustainable bioeconomy in the Amazon. In particular, the inclusion of disenfranchised groups (e.g. indigenous peoples) with even less consolidated organizations is currently given too little attention.
